*BELIEVE IN SOMETHING*

I believe we all have the right to choose
As much as I believe in the union of a man and a woman is true
I also believe in the growth of that tender child
That one you tagged ‘immigrant’ ‘cos he had no access to love
After having no question answered
To the reasons why his fate choose to put him in the hands of unfamiliar foes

I believe in that man that lost his faith to believing in something
I believe in the sounds of the bird and the hope it brings to the morning
I still believe in man too
The ‘wise’ one asked me “why man too”?
And I said to him;

I don’t believe we are born wicked
But calling every human “born sinners”, I completely agree to that
Believing in the fact that the man with a soul can make choice of ‘good and evil’
And deep down he wants to be practitioner of goodness

I believe in something for sure
But it’s not in the glorification of one man
Not in the wars fought for gains
Not in the vision of an Adolf H’man
Not in the hate of fellow man
Nor the “sound judgements” of one man

But I still believe in something more than the ‘I’
I believe in the awakening of man’s heart
An awakening to the realities surrounding him
I believe in man making hard felt choices
Choices from the option that man’s fellow man should smile too
I swear I do believe in something
