WORDS FROM GODWIN ENAKHENA

Godwin EnakhenaGodwin

I woke up this morning thinking about my beloved country, Nigeria. A nation blessed in all ramifications but ruined daily by greed and maladministration.
I’ve told friends that the CHANGE slogan of this administration makes no sense to me if the impunity of yesterday lives with us today.
Truth is, PMB can prove me wrong by dealing decisively with everyone directly or remotely involved in the shame brought to Nigeria by inept administrators at the Rio Olympics…
Imagine a large hearted Japanese plastic surgeon, Katsuya Takasu donating $200, 000 to our football team after hearing about its financial difficulties in America. SHAME.
The Dream Team actually got to Rio barely 24 hours to its first game.
How about kits meant for our athletes to the Games arriving 72 hours to the end of the Olympics?
Hope we’ve not forgotten that our athletes did the traditional opening ceremonial march in tracksuits?
I shook my head in disbelief when I learnt that the minister of sports has set up a three man committee to probe the late departure of the U-23 team to Brazil…Question is, why do we have so many jesters in our nation?
Mr President, heads must roll, this is a unique opportunity presented to you, sir, to convince us that it is no longer business as usual.
Enough is enough.
