The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Of what purpose

Of what purpose are those dreams
With vain pursuit still
On wanting to be eminence
Almost immediately as mentor be
Continual pursuit of acquisition face
Ignoring wonders of ‘due process’
And it’s fee
All senses on premature place
No nostalgic beauty of tough moments
Refusing to tag absurd struggles
With those deserved comments
Choosing to fuss and fight
Your only intent

Of what purpose is that strength
To fight on when real need be
After you described her grip on your muscles
As bought and misunderstood
as less and left swallowed
Stressed and borrowed
After she called herself as
Courage Stamina and Patience
Simply defining struggle before succeed
